International Labour Day 2021

“All labour that uplifts humanity has dignity.”

The International Labour Day which is also known as May Day is observed in more than 80 nations on May 1^st every year. The day is observed to spread awareness among the people regarding the rights of workers and mark their achievements. In India, Labour Day is also known as 'Kamgar Diwas.'

Krishnagar Public School, Nadia acknowledges the dignity of work and decided to celebrate the occasion with utmost fervour and joy. The activities were designed to integrate a better understanding among our students who must learn to respect and appreciate the painstaking effort of all the men and women who are uplifting the society and humanity every single day through their hard work.

The students, with great creativity and thoughtfulness made a collage of job that they dream to pursue in future and wrote a short paragraph to express why they dream to take that profession. Even the students, through heart felt messages, showed their gratitude towards the frontline Covid Warriors of our Nation like Municipal Workers, Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists and Food Delivery Agents. The students conducted a research on the background and history of Labour Unions and the importance of Collective Bargaining. They even drew Poster on the Theme of Labour Day and shared videos on the Power of Collective Bargaining.

The active participation, creativity and refreshing art works and strong messages of our students is worth appreciation.
