This year India celebrated it’s 76th year of independence with immense pride and honor. We, at Krishnagar Public School, paid homage to those who sacrificed their lives to free India from the menace of British rule years ago.
The students of the primary and middle section stood in formation representing ‘77th Independence Day’. This was followed by the March Past performed by the senior students of classes IX -XII.
The tricolor was hoisted by Principal Sir and Director Sir. The national anthem was sung by all, which was followed by the principal sir’s address. There was also a mesmerizing dance performance along with a skit- ‘Tryst with Independence’, performed by the students of class XII which was part of the CBSE SEWA Project. All the performances of the day successfully evoked respect and gratitude in the hearts of all for the freedom fighters.
The Independence Day celebration also included the investiture ceremony of the session 2023-24 wherein the members of the prefectorial board were honoured with badges and sashes. All the members also took part in the oath taking ceremony. Finally, the Head Boy and the Head Girl of the school delivered their speeches bringing the day’s program to a close.
